Bodø Jazz Open

Steve Hackett & Djabé  spiller på Scene, en stor sal for kanskje 600 mennesker på det meste. Noen sier det er 400 (meg), andre 500 (lokalpatrioter). Uansett er salen godt fylt, og Steve Hackett & Djabé sitter bakerst i salen før konserten, oppstilt som i et hønsehus, og signerer CD-er og vinyler. De har turnert i Sør- og Sørøst-Europa i mange år og kommer godt overens på scenen. Dessverre rakk jeg ikke intervjudatoen da samtalen med Marius Neset tok lengre tid enn planlagt. Steve Hackett gjør et veldig ryddig inntrykk og trives åpenbart med å være på turné med så dyktige musikere. Nordlendingene er stolte over å kunne ønske en musiker fra Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame velkommen.   Jeg tar noen bilder og blir ikke lenge, for jeg vil konsentrere meg om konserten med Marius i dag. Det er ikke det at jeg ikke liker musikken, men tankene mine går til Sinus, salen hvor Marius Neset skal spille.  

Steve Hackett & Djabé  play in the Scene, a large hall for maybe 600 people at most. Some say there are 400 (me), others 500 (local patriots). In any case, the hall is well filled and Steve Hackett & Djabé sit at the back of the hall before the concert, lined up like a chicken coop, signing CDs and vinyl.   They have been touring South and South-East Europe for many years and get on really well on stage. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the interview date as the conversation with Marius Neset took longer than planned. Steve Hackett makes a very tidy impression and obviously enjoys being on the road with such excellent musicians. The Northerners are proud to welcome a musician from the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame.   I take a few photos and don't stay long because I want to concentrate on the concert with Marius today. It's not that I don't like the music, but my thoughts are in the Sunus, the club where Neset is going ro play.

Auf jeden Fall ist die Halle gut gefüllt und Steve Hackett & Djabé sitzen vor dem Konzert aufgereiht wie im Hühnerstall hinten in der Halle und signieren CDs und Vinyl.  Sie touren seit vielen Jahren durch Süd- und Südosteuropa und verstehen sich auf der Bühne prächtig . Leider konnte ich den Interviewtermin nicht wahrnehmen, da das Gespräch mit Marius Neset länger dauerte als geplant. Steve Hackett macht einen sehr aufgeräumten Eindruck und genießt es offenbar, mit so exzellenten Musikern unterwegs zu sein. Die Nordländer sind stolz darauf, einen Musiker aus der Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame begrüßen zu dürfen.   Ich mache ein paar Fotos und bleibe nicht lange, weil ich mich heute auf das Konzert mit Marius konzentrieren will.
